My dear's request for today's meal was… meat with some crust :) so… I mobilized and gladly executed the order I received for lunch. What I did here is a light lunch, which has and some color but also taste and which I recommend you try :)


I used for meat:

  • Slices of pork leg
  • pink Hymalaia salt
  • turmenic, harissa, ienibahar, boia, pepper sichuan
  • 2 tablespoons white flour
  • 100 gr butter

For vegetables:

  • 1 l of salt water,
  • dried lemongrass
  • 2 star anise,
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 piece zucchini
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 celery stalks (green celery)
  • 50 grunt

For rice:

  • a measure of rice
  • 2 measures salt water,
  • 6 cloves

Method of preparation

Meat: I let the meat marinate with harissa, turmeric, salt, allspice and a little pepper, then after about an hour I took each slice and put it in flour mixed with paprika and a little pepper, then I fried them on the fire hot (just to catch the crust) in butter and oil.

After all the pieces of meat were nicely colored, I put them in a pan with butter and a little vegetable juice and put the tray in the oven.

Vegetables: In a pot of water I put 2 stars of anise, cloves, salt and dried lemongrass and let it boil, then I added the carrots, which I let about 3 minutes to boil, then I added and zucchini and left for another minute. After the vegetables boiled I drained them of water and set them aside. In a pan I put on the fire butter and a little oil, then I added finely chopped celery and garlic and -I let them fry lightly without burning them, then I added the other vegetables and sautéed them lightly.

Rice: in a small pot I put rice and 2 measures water, salt, cloves and let it boil until the rice has absorbed the water and the grain has boiled.

I then served the steak with vegetables and basmati rice… wonderful!
